Regional workshop in Asia

Asian regional workshop on “Strengthening Alcohol Control Policy” 15–16 December 2002, Bangkok, Thailand

Following on from GAPA’s first meeting during November 2001, a further workshop was convened with the assistance of the Thai Health Foundation and the World Health Organisation.

The objectives of the workshop was not only to bring to the attention of the local and international community some important alcohol-related issues facing Thailand but to strengthen Thailand’s competency in working with other international organisations by bringing relevent experts to the South East Asia Region.

The GAPA meeting in Bangkok adopted a series of recommendations which sent out a clear message.
